Introduction
His Majesty's Greffier is Clerk of the Royal Court and is responsible for maintaining records of all Court proceedings. He is also responsible for the registration of all property transactions and the imposition of charges on realty, again maintaining the associated records. As Registrar-General of births, marriages and deaths, he is also responsible for maintaining records in these areas.

All these Greffe records and, indeed, many other historical records are held in a purpose built Strongroom at the Royal Court Building. You can view the Acquisitions and Archives or Family History sections.
